for Precision Mechanics and Electrical
Engineering” founded in 1886 by Robert
Bosch (1861–1942). Since 1964, its majority
shareholder has been a non-profit foundation,
Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH. This
institution carries on the charitable and
social endeavors of the company’s founder
in contemporary form. The entrepreneurial
ownership functions are carried out by
Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG.
